Brentford drew 4-4 at Huddersfield Town on Saturday afternoon in the last match of the season.
The home team had roared into a two goal lead through Danny Ward (the second seeming to go through Simon Moore's hands) as things started to look ominous for Brentford.
However Jeffrey Schlupp showed electric pace to level prior to half-time before equalising in the 50th minute from Weston's through ball. Schlupps tally for the season ended on six goals in ten games - an impressive ratio.
The Bees lead did not last long - Moore parried Ward's fierce drive and substitute Novak made an immediate impact by leathering home the rebound.
Brentford were then gifted their third goal by keeper Bennett who spooned a kick to Grabban who calmly finished into the bottom corner.
More sloppy defending by the visitors allowed Huddersfield a fourth goal through Afobe but Brentford were not to be denied after Grabban's second tied the game at 4-4 following good work from sub Byrne.
Nicky Forster's team end the season in eleventh position - whatever happens in the summer Beesotted would like to thank Fozzy for his performance as manager and for restoring some watchable football back to TW8.
Bees - Moore, Spillane (Byrne), Neilson, Osborne, Wood, Saunders, Bean, Dave (Reed), Weston (Reeves), Grabban, Schlupp.
Unused Subs - Royce, Hacker, Oyeleke, Adams
