Brentford came away with a point from their trip to Milton Keynes but could so easily have come away with more.
A storming performance saw the Bees create chance after chance but failed to out score the home side.
Brentford played passing football along the floor and created the better chances in both halves.
The Dons created chances too and scored first when they broke the offside trap and Chadwick squared for Marsh-Brown to tap in. Kevin O'Connor seemed to have injured his groin during the move and was replaced by Spillane.
Brentford hit back straight away when Legge chipped the ball forward for Grabban to control and shoot passed the keeper.
Bean managed a shot from 40 yards which hit the bar and a see-saw game with plenty of chances for both sides finally came to an end all level.
Lee; O'Connor (sub Spillane 50 mins), Legge, Osborne, Woodman; Saunders, Diagouraga (sub Tudur Jones 86 mins), Bean, Weston; Alexander, Grabban (sub Simpson 71 mins)
Subs (not used): Moore, Wright, Balkestein, Bignall
