An improved Brentford performance against a poor Tranmere side saw The Bees move off the bottom of the table, winning 3-0 on the Wirral
Kev scored our first two, the first an early pen after a disputed but fairly blatant handball and the second a crossed free kick missed by the home keeper. Brought back memories of Stephen Hunt for me !
Marcus Bean charged into the box to score a late third after good work from Charlie Mac who battled hard throughout the game
Sam Wood was also restored to the starting line-up and gave extra bite and drive to the midfield
The defence looked pretty solid yesterday although they weren't massively tested, Tranmere's lively left winger aside.
Bees - Hamer, Spillane, Legge, Osborne, Woodman, Wood, Kev, Bean, Weston, Mac, Alexander (Grabban)
