Brentford suffered their second away league defeat in six days today, losing 2-0 to Yeovil.
The Bees seem to have reverted to their early season form and were somewhat stagnant against a struggling team who looked there for the taking.
Marc Laird could have scored on his debut to put Brentford into the lead on the half hour mark but stabbed the ball into the floor providing a fairly easy save for Henderson. Yeovil then went up the other end and scored the opener - Richard Lee flapping at a cross and Huntingdon heading home.
Andy Scott's side were again largely uninspiring but did look to have a good shout for a penalty when Charlie Macdonald was upended. However it was Yeovil who scored the final goal, Williams doubling the home team's advantage with a diving header.
Scotty provided his usual rhetoric after the game - players not doing their jobs, Yeovil being first to the ball in both boxes etc etc - also criticisng his central defensive pairing of Legge and Osborne (some would say this was harsh on Karleigh who seemed to be one of our better players).
The simple truth is that The Bees have lost the spark shown in the wins over the likes of Plymouth and Colchester - the injured Sam Saunders appears to be sorely missed at the moment. For his part Laird had an OK debut and does at least look to pass the ball, whilst Myles Weston again looked sadly out of sorts on the left.
Brentford play Peterborough (victims of a 6-2 cup drubbing at Fulham today) on Tuesday night, but will need to significantly up their game to avoid a third consecutive loss.
Bees - Lee, Wright, Legge (Balkestein), Osborne, Woodman, Bean (Forster), Laird, Kev, Weston, Alexander (Simpson), Macdonald
Unused Bees - Royce, McCracken, Spillane, Diagouraga.
