Felled tree Strand On The Green

Does anyone know why the Horse Chestnut tree in Thames Road was cut down last week?There was no notice and it wasn’t damaged or diseased. Have many fond memories of this tree.

Bike found

A white Excelle bike found in Balfern grove. Was dumped by a thief who then stole an electric bike instead! This happened yesterday, 18/3.

Our local MP

Serious question - what exactly does Ruth Cadbury do?Apart from the rainbow crossing, is there anything else she has done? Chiswick is one of the best places to live in London - less of a jungle than some post codes - but crime, drug use and homelessness are evidently on the up -  surely the local authorities need to do more in return for our taxes - do more for those in need, and more for those paying ever more in tax?

How many can you guess right. I thought about so many names before seing THE artwork and while being yet more money for a worthwhile cause was surprised names i came up with were missing. But thats not to deflect away from what its all about and what mark does for charity. 😎🎶🎶🎶🎶

Gunnersbury park break in

I despair and think what is society is coming to when two children break in To an animal sanctuary and cause such carnage and death as they did in Gunnersbury Park! I’d love to know what the parent’s attitude is on this? they should be ashamed and outed because it is as a direct result of their children’s upbringing that can only lead to this kind of behaviour. Shame on them.

Street map of Chiswick

Hello everyone, I am making a life book for my eldest son (was supposed to be for his 40th but he's 43 now ....ooh dear). I would like to show him all the streets our family has lived in for many generations in Chiswick (both sides of the family too)Can anyone tell me where I can get hold of a map with street names on?I have tried downloading one but the street names are all blurry and unreadable.Thank you for your timeWendy

Grid Lock today A4, King Street, GHRoad, Chiswick Lane CHR

Hi All, It would appear that the terrible traffic congestion today may be caused by the temporary traffic light phasing at the junction of Chiswick Lane and CHR. I just wondered if anyone has any more information from Hounslow as to if the phasing will be adjusted and how long the works (whatever they are) will take. Thank you in advance
