I’ve just tried to book but there are no slots for the next six days. Does anyone know if this is normal? I’ll have to be more organised in future

NHS waiting times

Hi neighbours,Long story short. I've been waiting for a semi-urgent appointment since march. It got cancelled twice by NHS. The latest rescheduling to Feb 2021 takes it to 54 weeks waiting times. To say I'm exasperated is an understatement. With the 2nd wave of covid coming I fear I will never get seen :-(. Where can I write to complain? Thanks!

Flower market Queue

Huge queue from Devonshire Road to Zizis. Absolutely zero social distancing in the queue from what I can see. Sounding like a killjoy perhaps but looks all set to fuel that W4 spike in Covid cases!  So many people in such an enclosed space.

Mattress disposal

I’ve been trying to find out when the Stirling Road site accepts mattresses with no luck.  Does anyone know if they do or do I need to venture further afield?

In a thread about dishwashers in 11/08, Phillipa wrote "BTW I would never leave a dishwasher running while I'm out and certainly not after we've gone to bed at night. Although mine did not catch fire when something went wrong, it overheated and the rollers on the lower basket are now no longer round.  Luckily I heard the strange sound it was making and so was able to turn it off in time."There have been several serious fires in my road, so Phillipa's warning resonated with me and I started turning off our ancient dishwasher when I left the house or went to bed. There's been a lot of eye-rolling from my partner until last week when - voila! - the dishwasher blew up. Amid the foul smoke he vowed to never doubt me again. I think he thinks I'm psychic.Thank you Phillipa.

Hounslow Council

First upsetting thing is we got the second and final reminder today. Of course we have paid our council tax no idea why they are sending constantly reminders.Then I tried to phone them up several times and after listening 1 hour to an Opera on the phone I gave up. Busy lines all afternoon.Anyone same experience?

Fined TGT

Ok I have now finally been fined on TGTWas expected really, however when I try to review the evidence I get this message from the viewmypcn web site:"View CCTV EvidenceThere is a delay in processing your request, the site may be delayed during periods of high demand, administrators have been notified. If you opted to be notified via email or text message then you will receive notification as soon as your still images and video footage are ready for viewing. Alternatively please try again a little later."I guess they are making so much money from PCN's they can not process all the requests.  As I have 14 days to pay the reduced rate, wonder if they will be able to deliver video by then. Grounds for appeal?

This makes for an interesting read, especially the parts on severance of roads and the importance of engaging with the local community. “Careful design is required because excessive use of filters can increase costs and may not always provide the best outcomes – particularly if residents are not engaged on the scheme design.
