Staveley Road restrictions

We received a letter on 21.1.22 informing us these restrictions go live on 24.1.22 having applied for a permit (of which we have had no response too) as have many of our friends and neighbours we are now stuck in a situation which will only extend all our journeys and cause traffic jams all around the area this is just another scheme that Hounslow are forcing upon us with scant regards to the residents and based on a very questionable outcome of a consultation that the vast majority of the locals were mislead by and unable to participate in due to lack of information . Just another shambles that Hounslow Council has created as have been all these local street schemes from the very start and largely ignored or manipulated the feelings of local people.

Experimental Traffic Schemes - restricting access from the A316 to Staveley Road

My councillor colleagues and I are receiving emails from worried residents who do not know whether they have been successful in registering on the council scheme that, from Monday, will allow unrestricted access from the A316 to on to Staveley Road East. At a meeting with officers this morning Cllr Gabriella Giles and I were assured that for two weeks if an unregistered vehicle drives down Staveley Road (east) the owner will simply receive an explanatory letter - and not a PCN.  Explanatory letters have been sent to residents dated 18th January.

MP forGROVE PARK?

Can anyone tell me who the current Member of Parliament is for Grove Park.   I'd like to write to them.   Also who is responsible in Government for care of the disabled and elderly.   A friend tells me that as from tomorrow, my relatives and friends will only be permitted to drive to see me in in my home in Hartington Rd on Sundays - they will have to arrive before 8am and not be able to leave until 8pm.   If true - utterly impossible!!!   Both for me and for my dear relatives and friends.

acycle lane VEDRY dangerous

am an 88y old BLIND ex army seviceman.Bus stope at Cjhiswick Police station VERY DANGEROUS for people like m. Satnding on this bus stop for E3 hav been knocked doen by E cucle  who did not stop whosse handlebars caught me standin g on V SMALL island but stop  now have to cross cycle lane te gi=o into bus shelter  thsis makes it more difficulet for me as am slow & unable to red bnus numbers. RIDICULOUS system . Very vulnerable..............am resident of Chiswick war emeorial homes. Disgusted with this cyle lane sytem. Waste opf time goint MP. Best September for Santander Cycles

Discounted tickets - Riverside Studios

Does anyone know of a way to get discount tickets for the Riverside Studios? I really wanted to see Elizabeth McGovern in Ava but the cheapest tickets are £45 which given that I need to pay for more than one is a bit too high for me. We go to the theatre a lot but generally buy through ticket apps or rush offer tickets but nothing seems to be available for the Riverside. I appreciate that it is a relatively small venue hosting a big star so they may not need to discount tickets at all .

James Webb

Traffic signs

Why do some prohibitive red circled traffic signs such as the no left, right or u turn have a red line across them while many others such as the  now popular here, motorbike above car sign don’t? It would be much clearer if all these signs had a red diagonal line across them.

This was as obvious as the nose on your face way back and would have saved many if we had woken up sooner.There was so much if but and maybe being broadcast early on by experts and the media about their effectiveness folk didn't know what to think.Masks should have been mandatory day one, no ifs  no buts.

Lights at Staveley Road Barrier

Could someone who lives near them check they are working okay? I cycled passed them yesterday evening in both directions and each time a car crossed my path in the opposite direction when I passed the barrier. When I looked back at the lights the driver had proceeded correctly on a green phase but I too had a green light.It may be that this is correct and that the lights just apply to pedestrian crossings but the green light turning left out of Park Road into Staveley Road and turning right from Staveley Road does give the impression you can proceed with priority.
