Stolen rucksack with music teaching resources

Last Friday evening, whilst rehearsing for a concert at St Michael’s & All Angels, Bedford Park Rebecca Lewis had her car broken into.  Amongst other things, a grey Superdry rucksack.  This held important music teaching resources.If you find/see or hear of anyone who might have picked up this rucksack with music related contents please post here and she will get back to you.

Leaning Woman statue - article on home page

Sad to read this statue is crumbling.  Didn't really take much notice of it until I started reading a series of books during lockdown by Lesley Thomson, The Detectives Daughter Series, set in and around Hammersmith and Chiswick.  The first installment was set in St Peter's Square and along the Thames and the statue was mentioned quite a lot.....loved walking round the area where it all took place!

Does Cunnington Court W4 EXIST?

I just had a very nice man knock on my door in Cunnington Street, collecting funds for a penalty shoot out for charity. He had already been given large amounts by my neighboursI was a little apprehensive when he wanted payment up front first he said he was local, "living across the road" pointing behind him, then when i asked where he lived, he said Cunnington Court and pointed in the other direction.At that momentI felt a little niggling doubt.I've checked on google and only Cunnington Street comes up.I am willing to sponsor him, but only if the information he volunteered to me was true, which atm seems a little dubious.  He is due to come back on Wednesday for his sponsorship money.I am just more confused than anything and feel bad that i am questioning his good intentions but his changing responses made me feel this way.So my query to put my mind at ease is does Cunnington Court,W4, around the corner from Cunnington Street actually exist?TYIA x

Overshadowing Hogarth's House, Chiswick Square and George & Devonshire

The proposed 13 storey building is too large and overwhelming for the Georgian buildings around it.The proposals do not even recognise that Grade 1 listed Hogarth's House is a near neighour. The William Hogarth Trust and Hounslow Council, working together, have recently invested nearly £2 million in a handsome new learning and events studio and the development of a the garden to tell the story of the site. The domestic scale buildings on the neighbouring Berkeley Homes site are lower than the large blocks they replaced though visible.Thirteen storeys will tower above the 1717 house and be visible from the garden.The curtilage (surroundings) of a Grade 1 Listed building have to be respected by other developents. And the online comments form is a trick asking for your opinion on worthy things like new housing but with no place for comments about planning and conservation issues.

Turnham Green Terrace

Yesterday morning at about 8.30am I walked along TGT and was very surprised to see so much litter, discarded food, seriously over filled bins with contents spilled around and general crud stretching from the bridge to the High Road. I don't remember it being so bad. Is this an exception or is it often like this?

A warning from Ealing Today

A small notice has appeared mid week notifying that South Ealing Road will be closed at the junction of the A4 from Mon 23rd October to the 29th October.It seems this is Northbound entirely and heavily restricted southbound but open.No info from TfL at all on bus services or delays.Windmill road remains closed indefinitely however TfL enforcement cameras remain active now targeting vehicles turning left into a blind exit which is more often than not blocked. So beware.The diversion is lengthy and will add up to 50 mins on already constant daily delays to northbound 65 journeys from Brentford.The alternative detour route for larger vehicles, Swyncombe Ave remains blocked.No input from highways at both Ealing and Hounslow as usual.

URGENT - Lost Grey Cat, Rothschild Road W4

Hello, our beloved grey cat, Bluebell, went missing from Rothschild Road last night.  She was spotted opposite Marie's store so she is clearly lost - she only usually goes into the back garden, but must have slipped out the front door.She is completely deaf, virtually toothless, large and old, with soft grey fur all over and a couple of bald patches around her neck, hence no collar (alas).  Her age, deafness etc makes her very vulnerable and we are DESPERATE to find her.Please call me if you see her, it doesn't matter what time.Thank you Alison - 0777 172 6243PS - can anyone help me post her picture on here please?

The new section on Kew Bridge Road opened yesterday linking Cycleway 9 from Kew Bridge to Watermans Park. And it is most splendid.
