postal delivery non existant

We have had no post since last Friday in Grove Park. I have two things at least, one of them a signed for package which should have arrived by now. Is anyone else finding that they are not getting post?

When I lived on Sutton Court Road near Fauconberg Road, our postman was absolutely excellent - don't know his name but he was a young black dude. He wasn't even supposed to be "our" postie, but the designated one was generally on the sick for the four years we lived there.

Paris delivers to Staveley Road now. I often see him as I cycle to the Brewery.

Could that be because they usually take the letters to be delivered by vanor personal car and park close by then do the delivery, or that's what theyused to do.

Our post I has always been great. During the pandemic when everyone was moaning we had no issues.  From what I read above this is the only area that Grove Park isn’t getting preferential treatment.

Royal mail has just been fined for their service levels. I agree rubbish since privatisation.

Had a note from sorting office through the door that there was £5.00 to pay - cash only it said - on a package as the sender had not put on the correct postage.  Unfortunately they didn't bother to put the tracking number on the note or any way of identifying the parcel sender so I have no idea who it is from, and without that I cant track it online, so I guess I will just have to let it go back to the sender. I am certainly not trekking half a mile to the sorting office to see if they can find it - doubtful without a tracking number.

I suspect lack of staff. Grove Park has always been known as a very heavy round (Paris did it for ages until his back gave in) and posties don't want to do it. So we don't have any one postman, although our deaf chap does many days. But if he is elsewhere I don't think there is anyone to step in. And there is no where one can ring to find out what the situation is

We have a fantastic postman deliveries same time every day always says hello so perhaps it’s a Grove Park issue

Yes, a small parcel sent second class from Wandsworth on the fifth via Royal Mail has yet to arrive.
