C9 - the truth
So, LBH has falsified the cycle accident data on C9 again? (It previously lied about about accidents in H1 21, and now appears to be making up facts about H1 23) Good luck defending that in court Katherine Dunne when someone is killed on the cyclelane you declare is safer. It has made up a new metric of “Cycle Km” to suggest usage of C9 is up when the actual cycle count it previously relied on is down. It conceded air quality has not improved, but doesn’t admit that it’s barely shifted, even though traffic volumes have halved. Ie half the number of cars/buses on Chiswick High Road are now producing the same amount of pollution as before because of C9 congestion. And It conceded that bus times are slower. By quite a bit. What a success for spending £13m of taxpayers money on a vanity project. Paul Campbell doesn’t even look that good on it judging by his photos. So, more accidents, less cycling, lower air quality, worse public transport will be the legacy of Katherine and her lapdogs Campbell, Robinson and Pike, who are laughing all the way as they drive to their second homes in Devon. Socialism at work. (Champagne socialism that is.)
