self defrosting fridge - I'm not getting it, senior moment
My 3 yr old Amica tall larder fridge (not fridge freezer) is messing me about. Water is collecting as overspill from the defrost collection v shaped trough at the bottom of back wall, So i'm having to mop it out quite often. In the middle of the trough there is a hole. But where does the water go ? The manual doesn't say anything about it, it just says declog the whole with the small tool, which I have just done and hopefully improves it - yes i have been lax on this. But I don't get it. If cold water drops freeze on the back panel which they do , then the fridge goes to defrost mode, they melt and run down the back into the trough and into the hole. And that's it , amazing vanishing water trick. Am I supposed to pull the fridge out turn it round 90 degrees and start emptying a water chamber somewhere ? Such senior moment can't work it out , face palm, lol
