I have a medical scan appointment tomorrow which I can’t cancel.  Normally 94 bus to Shepherds Bush then central line and a short walk is easy.Any suggestions how I can get there and back Any suggestions as to how I can get there

Platinum party concert amazing

Wow what an amazing lighting backdrop, first half not great music but it got better. What a fantastic way to say thank you to her majesty for 70 years of service. Loved the Paddington bear sketch very clever.

Busmaggeddon in west London

Although the article on the front page is probably correct to say that Chiswick has done well to avoid the worst of the bus cuts and the 272 boost is very welcome, some extra context is needed.Bus services in Chiswick were massively reduced in the run up to the pandemic including the removal of the 27 and reductions in service regularity on other routes. The number of buses going along CHR was cut by around 30% The remaining service is really struggling and reliability is down.Despite this buses still far more than any other mode of transport along Chiswick High Road including private cars and bikes. It's a significant step in the wrong direction for these services to be cut.

Frdige repair needed

Elizabeth Line use

This bear has a very small brain!I am the holder of a 60+ Freedom Pass (which entitles me to some "free"  travel on the TfL train routes)After 24th May will I be able to travel from Hammersmith to Reading for "free", given that TfL will be managing the route?If not I would be grateful for some explanation of what I would be expected to pay.Thanks

A timely reminder not to respond to any NHS text telling you that you need to purchase  a lateral flow test as you have been in contact with someone with Covid. Elderly  parents of a friend have this  week lost £4K saving been contacted by the scammers who were pretending to be their bank.

I was wondering how many people attended the protest you were publicising against the South Chiswick Streetspace Measures tonight.  I’m politely interested as my feeling is that the extent of opposition is grossly over-exaggerated. There’s a rumour it was only eighteen.

Peter Thompson's return as Leader of the Conservative Group

Nice to see Peter back in local politics.He evidently had to say something nice about his predecessor McGregor.What he omitted to say was that when the Conservatives submitted their boundary changes back in 2019 they succeeded in turning Riverside and Chiswick Gunnersbury (former Turnham Green) into marginal wards while making Chiswick Homefields safe for the Conservatives. Bit of an own goal?

Fly Past Thurs. 2nd June

I have worked out that we are in Area E and that the fly past will be some time between 12.40 and 1.15p.m. Can anybody tell me a good place to go locally to see it? I should think it needs to be a fairly open spot - I was thinking of Kew Gardens or Syon Park but surely that isn't possible as it would interfere with the usual flight path. Any information and helpful hints would be very welcome. It would be fab if they followed the river for at least some of the course.I'm sure there will be other people who would appreciate clarification on this. For those who don't know, there will apparently be a good number of planes going over and it will take six minutes for them to pass. Thank you in advance!

Who was responsible for the tickets, is there an investigation into these tickets. It is reported that one group of supporters lost £19000! Not read anything  about this!

SCLTN scheme Public Protest

JOIN THE PROTEST and MAKE YOUR VOICE HEARD BY THE NEW COUNCIL IN HOUNSLOW TUESDAY MAY 31st. For the past 18 months London Borough of Hounslow has ignored residents. We need to make sure the new Council listen and work with residents by showing the strength of feeling.  At the SoGA/GPG public meeting in March there was overwhelming support to protest for immediate improvements to the current measures across South Chiswick with a controlled camera scheme as successfully implemented in South Fulham. Meet at Chiswick Station at 5.35pm & catch the 5.47pm train to Hounslow, or catch the 237 bus from Chiswick High Road, or Tube to Hounslow Central. The Protest will start at 6.15pm & finish at 7.15pm.
