GOFUND ME.

Would anyone be able to enlighten me please. This is just a scenario. Fred Bloggs pleads on social media that he needs £5000 donations for a false leg as he lost his in a blast in the army 10 years ago. Go fund Me donations reach £35000 before it is realised that Fred was telling porkies and that he lost his leg 5 years ago after falling from a roof whilst committing a burglary. What happens to the £35000 donated by kind people.

You would be guaranteed a full refund as it clearly states on their website.I'm not sure what the point of this is? Other than perhaps to suggest that if someone is so down on their luck that they're resorting to bulgary, I'd probably chip in a few quid for them to have a false leg.

Thank you Ross. Family members have donated to a Go Fund Me page and the police are investigating regards the possibility that the page was set up under false pretences. We are awaiting the result of the police report.

Good luck with thatI was informed that a percentage of a will was on hold why police investigate. Nothing more and then 2 years later a letter stated we are now ready to settle but allso to say in plane language. Carer stole 74k from the estate prior to death and was convicted of fraud. 2 year suspended sentance as first conviction and not ordered to pay anything back. HA BLOOMING HA

To be honest,im not sure why your asking here Its simple and laid out on the gofund me website. If the one mentioned is still running then he gets nothing as it stands but if what you say is true then your get a refund. As i said,refer to them
