We have one, made by Bosch. My husband bought it as it was reassuringly expensive. I hate it. From a green perspective it’s probably a good thing. From a laundry perspective it’s total pants. Many cycles to choose from, but I only use one - the longest (4 hours 27 minutes!) - as it’s the only one which will actually dry laundry. There is a moisture sensor, so you can’t bung in anything dry which needs ‘refreshing’ - it simply refuses to work. The drum only turns in one direction, so larger items (especially bedlinen) don’t tumble. They roll into balls, so that the outside is dry(ish) and the inside is soaking wet. Because the outside is dry, the sensor tells the machine to stop. Because the bedlinen is screwed into a ball, it is impossible to get the creases out. I don’t know what to say. I will always hate it. They are clearly the way forward, and they are the ‘greener’ option, but I hope the technology/functionality has improved since 2019.
