Pay for Parking Fraud

A few hours ago, my husband attempted to register myself/car for parking.  Due to recent surgery, I shall have to use my car for the next few months to attend surgery appointments and/or shopping.My husband applied to ‘appurse.com’ and immediately my bank sent a fraud alert notification.  After a long wait I was connected to the HSBC Fraud Section who told me that an application for £1.00 had been processed.  As I did not recognise this charge, my card has been stopped and I await the arrival of my new card in a few days.Interestingly when looking up the appurse .com, another company using the same logo - ‘pay byphone.apk-empire.com also appeared.  I assume that this too is fraudulent.The question is, who do I apply to register for payment?

Stavely Road PCN - new to area

Hi, I’m new to the area and have been using Stavely Road as a cut through a few times a week since March 19th.I’ve just received a PCN though the post that has alerted me to the fact that there are restriction to traffic on this route that I was not aware of and hadn’t noticed signage for.I’m concerned I’m now about to get 7+ PCNs that I can really not afford to pay.Does anyone have any advice on responding to the council on this, I was completely unaware of the restrictions and have been stupidly following my satnav or google maps for the fastest route.Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Scottish independence?

Any views?  Being half Scottish by birth and parentage I do have some sympathy for and understanding of those who seek independence but I am still firmly against it for several reasons.  It hasn’t been fully thought through particularly with regard to currency and border arrangements.  And it is massively divisive.  I fear that the more Sturgeon pushes for it the more polarised the Scots will become - rather like the effect of the Brexit referendum, which is not a happy one.  And I can’t believe there would be any significant economic benefits for Scotland, certainly not in the short term - another Brexit lesson perhaps.My preferred option would be for a U.K. government of whatever stripe to improve democratic accountability and extend autonomy for all regions so that secession becomes less appealing.It would be interesting to hear from anyone who has cause to support Scottish independence.

As a pedestrian I now know that the world has gone completely mad when asked to do this while dangerously attempting to cross the road on King Street.  My eyes would have to be where my ears are.Dangerous, confusing and bonkers!

Parking ticket expert!

My niece has recently split up with her boyfriend and, on clearing out his belongings, came across a large bunch of PCNS (some of the fines had tripled!) Virgin Media Internet Fault?
