I wondered if any of you folks have used a local gardener and would recommend anyone please?I just need a slightly overgrown lawn mowed, about 25yds by 15.and a small front garden.Any suggestions appreciated.

A message for Jill Merritt

My cat was recently diagnosed as having an allergy to chicken.  I have good quality wet cat food ( still in date) which I would like to donate to a person whose is having difficulty affording to keep a much loved cat.  Jill are you aware of any such person who would appreciate this help?Please do not post messages about the various cat rescue places etc. as I have already done that with some of the food but I would like to help a person.

Burlington Lane fiasco

John Todd is right“He called for a rethink alongside other Grove Park schemes, and for the replacement of the council’s current “piecemeal” measures with a single scheme which allows for access only for drivers registered in the borough, as well as their visitors, similar to that implemented in Hammersmith and Fulham.”I suggested similar around 3 years ago. They have the technology to do it. But maybe not the skills. Or the will.

New Hammersmith Bridge designs

I know these visualisations rarely match reality but I like the look of Foster Cowi's designs for the new bridge. In a way it is a shame that, if approved, this scheme would only last for two years as it separates out pedestrians from traffic and would mean you could see vistas in both directions crossing the bridge. Presumably, a design with a pedestrian walkway added wouldn't be allowed on a Grade II listed bridge but there may be a short period in which riverside walks in the area get even better.

After School Nanny Required

I would be grateful for any recommendations for an after school nanny to look after our seven year old son three or four days per week during the term time with some additional cover required over the school holidays. Our home and his school are both in Grove Park. Unfortunately our existing nanny has had to return home at short notice. Spanish speaking would be a plus. Hours are 3:15-6:30pm.

British Airways vouchers

I have a voucher as a result of the pandemic which is due to expire in September.I will not be able to use it by then but is very likely I could by the year end.I have been rejected from getting a refund as BA say the flight went ahead.Does anyone know a way to get it extended or get the cash back?I know someone took them to court and won but this was for an Avios booking which is somehow diffrent to my booking.

Really surprised to read that chiswick gators are looking for a new venue one of the reasons is disrepair of the school sports hall? I thought that the  money made at the school carboots each month are to be able to benefit the school & fund any disrepairs?

Hi I keep getting an E15 error.  Has anyone got a recommendation for someone to fix.  There seems to be quite a few web sites that offer a fixed fee fix.  I used one successfully for my washingmachine but can't remember which one I used.

C9 Completed?

Is the C9 route from Chiswick Lane to Heathfield Terrace going to be finished to the same standard as Goldhawk Rod to Chiswick Lane?I have seen articles about the completed C9 cycle way in Chiswick, press announcements, events etc.The Goldhawk Rod to Chiswick Lane section seems to be well finished, but the central section still looks temporary and a bit of a mess, plastic wands, double bus shelters.  It would be good to see it finished to the same standard, has anything on this been released on completion plans?

Found - Sports Kit

Have you had your sports kit stolen or lost?I assume it belongs to a youngish man, there is nothing very valuable but cumulatively it would be annoying to have to replace, if you know anyone whose had their sports bag nicked please ask them to get in Touch Id like to reunite the owner with his kit.Found on Southfield Rec, not that that actually means much.
