It's very quiet about Cruella on here?

Cannot believe that there hasn't been one comment about the above getting the heave-ho, let alone the P.M. (who wasn't elected to that position by the electorate), appointing a former P.M. who left Parliament after the Brexit farce, who now has to be elevated to the Lords to serve as Foreign Secretary, also unelected. Shambles hardly covers it.

It’s really unlikely the government would have any idea what the Supreme Court will decide. Apparently the only thing even expert advisors can tell is that it’s likely to be unanimous as it happening a month before expected - and minority judgments involve a lot of batting back and forth. And therefore take longer. But that isn’t much of a lead.

The timing is peculiar as the Rwanda ruling is due soon. We have to assume the government is already aware of the outcome and they have lost. Perhaps Sunak didn't want to here to become more of a martyr for Little Englanders and thought it would be best to get rid of her when people it will assume it is due to her, frankly bizarre statements over recent weeks. Take the political element out of what she said and it is still hard not to conclude she is a half-wit.Perhaps the government has won on Rwanda and Sunak doesn't want Braverman to claim credit for it and he will use the implementation of this scheme to undermine her campaign to be Leader of the Opposition. This seems unlikely though with the resurrection of Cameron and Cleverly never having been a major cheerleader of this policy (although he was obliged to make positive noises about it as a cabinet minister).Sunak has presumably told Cameron he will step down next year to move to the States to get involved in the tech industry and Cameron sees a chance to become leader again. They will presumably work together to ensure there will be enough non-swivel-eyed MPs in defendable seats so that the remaining 150-200 will not be forced into accepting a new leader who is popular with the membership and therefore, by definition, completely unfit to run the country.

There’s no way that Braverman spoke for the silent majority of the general public.  Every relevant survey reveals that she is, unsurprisingly, rather UNpopular.  Sunak made a grave mistake putting her in his cabinet in the first place.  I would even doubt if you did a survey of ‘Red Wall Brexit’ people that you’d find much favour, though I could be wrong.

This was more likely done to shore up votes in the marginal Tory seats.It still has the feel of changing deck chairs on the Titanic,what with Cameron's return to the top table and all.Labour might win the election, but not because of their intrinsic attraction in their present form,but because people have had enough of this lot.Great shame that democratic choice has come to this farcical situation.

I think too many people are too busy laughing to comment on here.Incidentally , Liz Truss was elected as leader by all members of the Conservative Party, so was entitled to take over the job.Bur Sunak was elected by Conservative MPs only. Which also tells us all we need to know about that shower of shite.

She definitely had to go,no question.The only thing that I ever heard her say that I have any time for is the different rules seemingly applied by police to left/right wing demonstrations.I have no affinity or time for extremists of any persuasion and 'the ladder of law has no top and no bottom',or at least in theory.Good ridddance.I am sure there have been unelected PM's and ministers before,on both sides of the house.
