THEFT OF GARDEN PLANTS

I've just had 90% front garden stolen.  while sewing NHS gowns, Plants pots on wall , by my car and  top of my car , tomates, sweetpeas, fuschias, a window box, seedlings in small pots, etc  treasures ALL If anyone you know has acquired some random, homegrown, choice items today ,please encourage them to return them to Walpole Gardens.  NO QUESTIONS ASKED .BUT so much time, toil, effort and some money, went into my work.I live on top floor flat. so its  all the things i grow for my work roof garden,

German Student/ Historic Letters

Is there a German speaking student out there who fancies going through c 100+ letters in German written from Dresden between 1945 and 1950 and making a precis? . We deal in old manuscripts and letters and I hope there might be enough in these to make up a "situation report" of post ww2 Dresden so we can sell them . . Many are typed but some are manuscript . Happy to discuss a fee . I can drop the letters off in W4 ish  after an initial discussion so we can comply with SI stuff. They could be interesting but I have no German.

Dels, Askew Road

Morning AllI went there yesterday and bought a huge bag of compost, a small bag of compost and a watering can. I mentioned to the owner that I couldn’t see a way of getting it home as it was all very heavy (should have thought about that first! Doh). He then joyfully offered to deliver it to me 45mins later and refused a tip. As promised, it was on my doorstep with a wave from him. I thank him very much! Fantastic service with a friendly smile. 😀

Chiswick Health Centre rebuild

I think that the revised plans look okay but the belvedere tower is odd, and too many flats are planned.  I understand the need to finance the rebuild with flats but the whole point is to build a new health centre, so that should be the biggest element of the plan.

TfL - Freedom Pass; 60+ Card etc

Apparently new restrictions or/and possibly withdrawal were announced on Friday by Sadiq Khan. None of the copious number of TfL emails I have received over the past few days refer to these changes and I can see nothing relevant on the TfL website. Anyone know anything about this please?

Lovely to read Gary's recent missive on the front page...Particularly touching is his revelation that people going hungry is unacceptable.Shame then that his government followed a political dogma that exploded the use of foodbanks in this country.Still ... if this virtue signalling helps him sleep at night then all well and good.Oh ... wait a moment ... there is a Tory already replying to this post saying that the world recession of 2007/8 was the sole fault of the Labour party and there was no choice but to lower taxes for the rich and companies while introducing a policy of austerity for poor.  I do keep forgetting that....

Bundesliga balls bombshell..

I have just read that Bundesliga ball boys yesterday disinfected 30 balls before the game and again at half time..  I know this happened in Germany but even so - was it absolutely necessary?.. and was social distancing properly observed throughout the process..?.. how old were these ball-boys?.. were the police involved?.. and finally was this broadcast on live TV before the 9.00p.m watershed?..answers please on a postcard...
