Article on incident outside M&S
This article here: http://www.chiswickw4.com/default.asp?section=info&page=conaccident169.htmApart from being difficult to read grammatically, it basically implies that the bike lane somehow caused this whole incident. ‘The ambulance had some difficulty in departing due to congestion on the High Road. A fire engine was also driving in the direction of Hammersmith using the bike lane.’ I somehow doubt that a fire engine was driving up the bike lane, as a vehicle of that size couldn’t fit in the bike lane, let alone this being wildly dangerous. Although if such an event did happen, I struggle to see how it affects the departure of an ambulance outside M&S, what with the bike lane being on the other side of the road.I find it hard to believe this article is just lazily written and wonder if it was penned by some anti-cycling person?
