Cab Risk
One of my animals (cat) has developed a really severe limp over the last couple of months following surgery on a broken leg in summer 2019. I need to take her to a vet as it could be a post- operative problem with the surgery, arthritis, a related or non-related soft tissue issue or worse (some limb problems can be cancer).I need to take her to a referral vet in Bayswater this week. I will minimise my exposure by only taking two cabs including the usual four - ie I will drop her there, wait for several hours in the cold (most vets don't allow yoiu to go in) for the diagnosis, sedation, xrays and other scans as necessary and then hopefully get another cab to take us home instead of one there and back and another to pick her up and back. I have to take her, you can't have a cat with a leg causing discomfort/pain without it being seen to. Any suggestions on how to reduce chance of catching covid gratefully received. I have been exremely cautious and careful from the first announcements in Feb/early March last year and am nervous about this outing, would be catstrophic not just for me and my work but also for the animals etc if I had to go to hospital. Probably an issue that no one else will be able to help with but just thought I'd put it out there - we don't know how long this is all going to go on for and I am sure others will be facing the same issues as I am this week.
