Chiswick High Road Cycle Lanes Survey

Austrian German Language Tutor

I know it’s a long shot but I wondered if anyone happened to know of any language tutors that can help me with Austrian German?  I’ve tried various web searches and just ended up with nothing.  I want to augment my Duolingo practice with something face to face.  Thanks!

Private Physio enquiry for man post stroke

Hi, can anyone recommend a Physio who would come to his home to assist with mobility whilst he is waiting NHS physio which could take some time. The sessions could probably continue supplementary to NHS physio. He lives on Chiswick end of Hammersmith. Many thanks.

Unmarked 4x4

Same unmarked 4x4 has twice in 2 days pulled over a moped delivery guy in same spot Must be targeting them. A hunch is they are using the app on the phone while riding. I guess we will get a cycling related responce somewhere below

Just taken a taxi to get my 4th jab at Kew retail park - I arrived with many of us oldies also arriving to be told- sorry we have no vaccines today - great!!!

Bus Garages in Brentford and Isleworth

In the article headed: "Local Labour Party Backs Campaign Against Bus Cuts" W4.com says "There are six bus garages in the Brentford & Isleworth constituency including the Stamford Brook Garage run by RATP Dev Transit London and Metroline’s Brentford Depot."As well as the two mentioned, I can think of RATP Transdev's (London United) Hounslow Bus Garage in the High Street and the Lampton bus garage in spring Grove Road. Is the bus garage near Twickenham Rugby Ground in the constituency? the former Westlink garage in Green Lane Hounslow is in the Feltham & Heston constituency so where are the missing two bus garages?

Lost spotty tabby strand on the green

Our 1 year old male spotty tabby called Albie went missing from Pyrmont Rd, opposite the Bell and Crown pub on Strand on the Green on weds late evening. He looks spotty from the side. He’s very friendly. He’s got a distinctive black down turned mouth and is light brown. If you live in the area could you kindly please check your sheds and garages? And let me know if you think it’s him. We are worried he may be trapped or injured / dehydrated I’m not sure how to upload a photoThank youWendy 07810 551072

Can you get a Doctors appointment?

The Grove Park Surgery's app says no appointments available, and when you call them, they say there is nothing for 4 weeks? Is this what's happening now with all GP surgeries, or is it particularly bad at Grove Park? We've been with them 30 years but struggling with the point of staying local if you can't get an appointment?

Free sofa help!

I have a free sofa to give away. It’s in great condition, modern, clean, leather. But no one wants it. Does anyone know of any charities that might collect? It’s seems such a shame to pay to have it taken away as rubbish by the council.

Brexitometer in Chiswick

Well done to the people I passed near Turnham Green Station yesterday with their 'Brexitometer'. However, it must be said that they have confirmed what we all know, that there is nobody left in Chiswick who is prepared to argue that leaving the EU has worked well for us. The Brexitometer needs to be taken to previously hard core leaver areas to show how much support is collapsing there as well.Can somebody who understands these things better explain to me why the Labour party simply doesn't put the issue to bed by offering a revote on the issue in their manifesto?

Staff shortages

I read BA is cancelling another 1000 flights due to staff shortages. Everywhere there seems to be a similar situation. I do not understand why there are so many staff shortages. Some people went back after Brexit but surely not so many as to cause the present situation. Is there a figure for the total number of staff shortages?

Cycle Lane works

I’m flabbergasted to see that works are “progressing” after all of the negative feedback given by local residents. At a time when food and fuel poverty are real issues happening to people all around us, shouldn’t money available be diverted to helping people who are finding things really tough right now?
