The Road to Kew

I was wondering what the situation is with driving to Kew across Kew Bridge at the moment. Last time I tried I got stuck in a traffic jam from the roundabout to the bridge for about half an hour. Have things improved? Is the way clear at weekends?Grateful for any info.

Pretty empty in the morning since the private schools broke up. Roadworks are done.
