Roll out of 18M 5G masts and cabinets on derelict land in west London

Another planning application for a tall (18m) 5G mast and 3 "cabinets" has been published on the H&F planning portal:  2020/01963/TEL56The proposed site should elicit objections. This application at Hammersmith Council's Wandon Estate, North End Road, was published starting on 30th July. The consultation on an application for a different G5 mast on the Fulham Palace Road ended recently. Both of these applications are on small patches of underutilised, "derelict" land at a bend on a major road. Both pieces of land are owned by Hammersmith Council. The operator wants easy access at ground level for installation of supporting electrical equipment, so-called "cabinets".See this good explanation by Vodaphone: https://newscentre.vodafone.co.uk/features/mobile-phone-masts-everything-you-need-to-know/I would prefer the masts to be sited at the top of buildings, with supporting electrical equipment either in the building or buried. But that would cost the operator more. The "cabinets" are as unsightly as the masts and together they occupy land which should be public realm and well-maintained. They should not be an eyesore for pedestrians and residents. The derelict land on which masts and cabinets are sited will attract fly-tipping and drug-dealers, i.e. illegal activities unless they are well fenced off and the grass is cut regularly. I would want to see the terms of the operator's contract with Hammersmith Council.

ABOLISH ALL MOTORISED ROAD VEHICLES

As we will not be allowed to drive anywhere why not do just that - abolish all motorised vehicles.  They are or soon will be useless so cut to the chase do it now!  Gone will be all the jobs, all the taxes generated by this dangerous, unsocial and useless industry.   Not much point in owning  a car at least in Britain.Maybe we'll all be issued with our own individual "zoom" machines that takes us virtually everywhere - our bums may increase so soon muscle wastage makes leg function difficult - hard to walk or cycle - all can be accomplished by virtual screens!   Eating would be a problem - how would you get food - delivery vans are out - nutritional pills I suppose supplied by the Nanny State with in-built medications - just enough vitamins to nourish but not make us too fat!   The hospitality industry has had it so chefs, waiters etc can convert to the creative arts of making these virtual experiences even better.   Safe road??? Roads of any description won't be needed at all!  Yipee now we really are SAFE!Oh dear suppose farmers would be obsolete - at least all those nasty munching, farting anmals can go - no need for those.   Welcome to extreme hi-tech everyone.  Me, I'm rather pleased and very grateful that I've managed over 80 years of blissful, joyeous, dangerous, risk-filled, sad then happy, freedoms of the ups and downs of reality living.    I'm off to polish up my barnacles!
