Hartington Road signage
Driving north over Chiswick Bridge heading home for Sutton Court Road today, I realized that if I had not previously known about the new restrictions in place, I would probably have incurred a fine by turning, as I have done for years, left into Hartington Road. The sign warning you against doing so is insignificant, to say the least - one might almost think our leaders in distant Hounslow wanted us to fall foul of the law and swell their coffers with fine-money, but that would be a silly idea. I know they only have our best interests at heart, which is why they consulted us so thoroughly before blocking off a local road to most residents. I was therefore happy to continue along the A316 and join the permanent queue of traffic which now stretches from Hogarth Roundabout back beyond the entrance to Staveley Road.
