Is GDPR \ ICO registration for property management limited when looking looking after a block of 4 f

As a company secretary of the conversion I live in, Last week I get a letter from ICO saying we've got to register. I called them and they said we have to register as long we're using a device to contact each other. One of the flat owners said we don't. The other 2 flat owners, who have rented their flats out, have yet to answer my email. Just because I'm using my "smartphone" to ask the others to pay their share of the communal area bill I'm open to be breached! We don't have a website, nor any .com, no headed paper and not even a debit or credit card. I have the paperwork and cheque book. All I have are personal email addresses and none that say the "management" name.I'm not bothered about the sum but the principle of having to do it. No-one really seems to know if we've got a leg to stand on if I register to be exempt and then find out we're fined!Can anyone help? TIA

Traffic Counters

Following on from the article on the front page about these being vandalised over the weekend.  If the Council want to assess road usage by using these things why have they put them in on roads that they have closed to traffic like Devonshire Road?  Personally I don't feel a huge amount of trust in our local authorities right now, they seem very adept at gathering data solely to support their own agenda rather than genuinely consider their residents views.

Chiswick Town Hall Garden

Just read elsewhere on this site that Abundance is handing responsibility for looking after the garden - at the corner of Heathfield Terrace and Sutton Court Road - to the council. Many thanks to Abundance, which has done a great job with the site, and here's hoping that the Borough can maintain the same high standard.

Lost black cat near Gunnersbury

Help - can't book any slot at Stirling Road Recycling

I'm trying to book a slot to take some recycling to Stirling Road this week which I have done several times this year with no problem.However, the West London Waste site is only allowing me to book at the Space Waye site in North Feltham - nearly nine miles away!  Can anyone help here - is this really the only option now for someone with a W4 address?

Knitting wool wanted for charity knitting - please

Hi all, here is my bi-annual request  -  I’m still/again on the hunt for knitting wool ... double knit preferred but any quality/thickness/color received that can’t be used by my now 96 year old Mum in Law will be passed to a knitting group who make twiddle muffs for Dementia patients. Absolutely none will be wasted. MIL still wades through bags of it and has very little left. Please have a root around to see if you’ve anything to donate. I can pick up (generally/relatively locally) or, if more convenient, any donations can be dropped off where I work on King Street.
