why I'm going to vote conservative
This is a message to labour. I hate Boris, Rishi and Jacob, for all the obvious reasons. No need to bash them here. I agree, and more.And yet I'm going to vote conservative. That's because labour is totally floundering on the issue of safeguarding for women and girls (which is an issue I care about).They seem to have been taken over by the radicals who want everyone to think that saying "trans-women are women" is the end of the debate. The conservatives, on the other hand, are actually engaging on the real issues.Nadhim Zahawi (the education secretary) just made a great speech about safeguarding for girls in education (along the lines of: school-girls* can reasonably expect not to have to share changing rooms with boys*)and Sajid Javid (the health secretary) recently made a great speech about safeguarding for women in health care (along the lines of: healthcare interventions should be based on evidence not ideology).Sorry, labour. My vote is there for the taking if you can do better on this topic.*Just to be clear, I'm using the words girl and boy in the traditional biological / anatomical sense.
