Putney Social Entrepreneur Aims For £1.5 Million Give Away

With her current project in Woking

Putney based social entrepreneur Charlotte Grobien earns money for charity in a unique way – building houses and giving every penny of profit away. Her motto is ‘just because you earn it doesn’t mean you have to keep it’.

Having set up Give It Away Ltd. in 2005, she has given more than 1.1 million to charity and is aiming for the £1.5 million landmark with her current project.

Known as ‘The Handbag Developer’ for her glamorous style, she alone controls all aspect of the build and sales. Beneficiaries of donations are small local charities who support vulnerable children and young people in the Wandsworth area who have disabilities, learning problems, difficult home backgrounds and families who care for kids with terminal illnesses where there is also financial deprivation. Charlotte oversees all donations personally.

Charlotte is currently working on a new-build project of two large four bedroom detached houses on one plot in Woking, which will feature on London ITN at 6pm tonight (Tuesday 16th September). She has recently had engagements with No. 10 Downing St and features in local Woking news which would welcome further coverage.
