Hounslow Community FoodBox is set to bring festive joy to hundreds of local residents once again this Christmas. Thanks to the generosity of local people and businesses, and with sponsorship from Brentford Football Club and Hilton Heathrow Airport Hotel, the initiative will provide 550 adults and children with seasonal Christmas hampers, dubbed “Bags of Best Wishes.”
Hilton Heathrow Airport Hotel contributed 160 packs of mince pies and other treats to go into every hamper, adding a special seasonal touch for recipients.
The hampers will be assembled at Alexanders’ warehouse, with a team of dedicated employees packing and preparing the festive parcels. Alexanders, a local specialist removal and storage company, has been a longstanding supporter of FoodBox, providing not only manpower but also the vans and drivers who will deliver the hampers across the borough before Christmas Day.
In addition to the hampers, each FoodBox recipient will receive an extra festive treat alongside their regular deliveries.
Alex Pope, Director of Alexanders Group, said, "We're incredibly proud to continue our partnership with FoodBox and Brentford Football Club to support families in need this Christmas. Seeing everyone come together to pack and deliver these hampers – knowing they'll bring some festive joy to 550 local people – makes us even more committed to this vital cause. It's a privilege to use our resources and logistics expertise to help make a difference in our borough during the Christmas season."
Hounslow Community FoodBox provides essential food supplies to local residents in times of need. While emergency food cannot solve poverty, it offers a vital lifeline while other challenges in people’s lives are being addressed. The organisation welcomes support from anyone who shares its mission of positively impacting the community.
For those wishing to get involved, further information can be found at Hounslow FoodBox’s website.
