The Fulham and Hammersmith Choral Society invites audiences to immerse themselves in the beauty of the Italian Baroque at All Saints’ Church, Putney Common on Saturday 27 June at 7pm. The evening promises a feast of musical colour and virtuosity, featuring works by Monteverdi, Vivaldi and Albinoni performed by the 100-strong choir under the direction of Robert Patterson.

Founded in 1951, FHCS has grown into one of West London’s most ambitious community choirs, welcoming singers of all levels of experience. The ensemble performs three major concerts each year, often joined by professional soloists and orchestras, and is known for its warm, inclusive spirit and commitment to musical excellence.

For this summer concert, the choir will be joined by the Parsons Green Sinfonia, with soloists Betty Makhariinsky and Iris Korfker (sopranos), Iestyn Morris (alto), and Alasdair Hill (oboe). Together they will bring to life the splendour and emotional depth of the Baroque masters — from Monteverdi’s expressive choral writing to Vivaldi’s exuberant rhythms and Albinoni’s lyrical grace.

Set within the atmospheric surroundings of All Saints’, the concert offers a perfect midsummer evening of music, community and celebration.

Tickets are £18 (or £5 for under-16s) and available online.
