Two fire engines, two police cars and a RNLI Lifeboat all at the scene
Annoying for the drivers, amusing to some passers by but here were some who were asking are so many services required when drivers forget high tides are due at the Embankment in Putney?
This afternoon the Embankment was filled with various services - fearing the worst of some boating disaster on the Thames it was a relief to find that it was merely two empty two mini buses that were semi-submerged following the afternoon high tide...
Drivers be warned these exceptional high tides (over 7.3m) are expected to continue for the next few days up to and including 21st April, with the highest due tomorrow (19th April).
