PUTNEY'S MEMBER OF PARLIAMENT TONY COLMAN
On top of that, every school that has come out of special measures is receiving an award - so good news for The Alton School in Roehampton, which came out of special measures recently, and receives an award of £5,820. I have listed the schools below and their awards, the actual value of which is dependent on factors such as school size, with a minimum for schools with higher staffing ratios.
I have written to all Headteachers of the schools, but would like to have on record my congratulations to all the teachers, support staff, Governors, and of course, the pupils of all these schools.
Secondly I would like to bring up the local Council elections that will be held on Thursday 2nd May this year. You have until the 24th April to register for a postal vote - either for just this election, or for future elections as well. So if you think you might not be able to make it to the polling station on the day, simply apply for a postal vote. In fact you don't even need to give a reason to have a postal vote now. To ask for a postal vote application, either call the Labour party offices in Felsham Road and leave a message, on 020 8788 8961, or call the Council election department on 020 8871 6023. To check if I am your MP, please log on to www.locata.co.uk/commons and enter your full postcode. I have set up a website www.tonycolman.org.uk which I hope you will use and enjoy. Tony
