with five schools in the borough achieving 100% success ...
English results at Wandsworth schools have improved more this year than in any other London borough.
The record rise in the key stage two tests for eleven year-olds was bettered by only one other authority in the country.
Across all three subjects of English, maths and science local results were the third most improved in inner London.
Pupils at five primaries achieved a 100 per cent success rate with every pupil at Holy Ghost in Balham achieving the expected level in all subjects.
Two schools - Our Lady of Victories, Putney and St Anselm's, Tooting achieved perfect scores in English and science - while at Sheringdale School in Southfields and St Mary's, Putney every pupil met the standard in English.

Putney schools scored well above the borough average for the three tests of 236. These were: Our Lady of Victories (295 out of a possible aggregate score of 300); All Saints (289); St Mary's (282); Brandlehow (256); Hotham (252).
Cabinet member for education Malcolm Grimston said, "This year's English results are exceptional. Staff and pupils deserve the highest praise for this achievement. Wandsworth schools are now improving at a faster rate than the rest of the country and have again delivered the best results for comparable south London Boroughs.
"Across the borough well over three-quarters of pupils are achieving the required standard in all three subjects compared to just half in 1996. Once again parents can see just how well Putney schools are doing. To have so many high performing primaries in one area is immensely encouraging."
