Hotham Primary School
Hotham Primary School provides education for around 420 children. The school is located in the Putney area. Hotham School is named after Admiral Hotham who lived in Putney during the 18th Century.
This school caters for boys and girls aged between 3-11 years old.
•offer a curriculum which covers the National Curriculum;
•provide teaching in key areas like English and maths and science; and
•encourage the healthy development of a child's physical, emotional and social skills.
In September 2011 Hotham opened its Bilingual Reception Class which works in parallel to the Open Reception Class. Both classes follow the English curriculum and both classes are learning French through songs, stories and repeated phrases such as commands.
Hotham used REAL project learning throughout the school and in 2018, the children have learnt about Healthy lifestyles, designed walking tours of Putney, performed their own version of the Westend production of the Lion King and hosted a stall in the Putney Exchange to encourage the reduction of single use plastics by Putney businesses.
