Holly House - Chiswick Roundabout. 24 floors of fun!
The application is reported as:"21 floors of residential accommodation comprising 255 flats, 83 of which will be classed as affordable. Of the ‘affordable’ units 70% will be London Living rent and 30% will be intermediate."That's 58 of 255 LL and 25 being 'intermediate'.I question the level of the Service Charge on each flat.Who will maintain all that supposed greenery and the garden terraces, the glass roof above the roof top 'domed glazed canopy which residents of the private flats will be able to access, the bin store, the lifts, the communal spaces and who will clean all the glass? Not to mention where any profits come from renting out the 17M LED screen - not to the leaseholders that's for sure. With all these costs it will not be profitable enough for any of the paltry 83 flats to be anything else other than privately owned, sorry privately leased. No doubt there will be a 'special entrance' for those flats so that the poor do not embarrass the rich. Here in Chiswick Village we have our problems but almost all leaseholders actually have a share in the freeloading company so the decisions are made by those who live here and not made by a venture capital board who probably never see the building or its residents. This is yet another blight on our landscape, the wrong building in the wrong place - and for the wrong reasons.
