Laser Eyes?

I guess this has been asked before - but what are people's recommendations for laser eye surgery locally? Or is it best to travel across London to Moorfields? Do they do private cash buyers who are fed up with glasses being permanently stuck to their face?

I had my eyes layered at Moorfields about 10 years ago, and I’ve just had an eye test which showed my vision is better than 20 20. I saw Alex Ionnides (may have the spelling a little off) first in Harley Street and then for the surgery at Moorfields. I’d do it again tomorrow!

I had treatment on my eyes, including laser treatment, on the NHS at the Western Eye Hospital over the last 10 years or so. It culminated in cataract operations in December 2019 and February 2020, and I now have 20/20 vision and don't wear glasses any more (though it is difficult to get used to not wearing face-furniture after about 40 years - I still occasionally find myself reaching for my non-existent specs before going to bed).

I had the same as above. It was on the NHS because it was to remove cataracts - maybe not the 'laser treatment' being referred to - but they put in replacement lenses that corrected my vision so, after 60 years, I could see unaided and stop wearing glasses.  What a transformation! Except family and friends said I 'looked funny without them' so I still wear a pair of 'clear' bifocals with a prescription bit for reading.
