St Mary’s Convent and Nursing Home Appeal still 25% short of its target The new St Andrew's wing of St Mary's Convent and Nursing Home was opened on Wednesday 25th June. The building is an extension to the Nursing Home, and provides individual rooms and facilities for 17 patients. It replaces an open ward, which can now be converted into further accommodation to the same standard.
The £1.7m appeal target is now 75% achieved and covers the cost of the new wing, but the remaining funds are still urgently needed to complete the upgrading of the older parts of the nursing home.
