A Chiswick resident has been sentenced to just over three years in prison following a police investigation that began with reports of anti-social behaviour and culminated in the discovery of a substantial drug supply operation.

In April 2025, officers from the Chiswick Riverside Safer Neighbourhood Team responded to complaints of late-night parties and noise disturbances at a residential address in the Riverside ward. Upon arrival, PC Storey and PCSO Manning encountered what initially appeared to be a routine case of anti-social behaviour. However, PC Storey quickly identified signs that the property was being used to host drug-fuelled gatherings.

PC Storey arrested the occupant and called for backup. A subsequent search of the premises led to the recovery of over £30,000 worth of drugs. The suspect, later identified as Ian Wong of Chiswick, was charged with possession with intent to supply (PWITS) and remanded in custody.

This month, Wong pleaded guilty to seven counts of possession with intent to supply various controlled substances. He was sentenced to just over three years in prison.

The case has been highlighted by local police as an example of proactive neighbourhood policing. Sgt O’Donnell of the Chiswick Neighbourhood Police Team praised the swift action taken by officers, noting in a recent bulletin that “PC Storey’s sixth sense went into overdrive” upon entering the property, leading to a significant seizure and successful prosecution.

Police continue to encourage residents to report suspicious activity across Chiswick.
