Police start investigation describing death as unexpected

A man has died after collapsing on Turnham Green near Sutton Lane North this Sunday morning (12 January).

He was found at around 8:20am and taken to hospital where he passed away some time later.

The deceased is a 48-year-old man who was reported missing to police on Monday, 13 January. His next of kin has been notified of his death.

Friends in the Chiswick area have identified him as Brian Constance, who worked in the fashion industry and was originally from South Africa. The police have yet to confirm his name pending formal identification.

The death is being treated as unexpected at this stage, and further enquires are being carried out. An area of Turnham Green remained cordoned off by police on Wednesday as forensic officers joined the investigation.

A post-mortem examination will be held in due course.
