Half Term Big Draw Activities for all the Family
Tuesday 30th October & Wednesday 31st October 1-4pm
Taking inspiration from the collection and current temporary exhibition, Painting Wandsworth, Take a Line for a Walk around the Museum using a host of drawing techniques from big rope drawings for little artists to giant drawings for everyone. Suitable for families of all ages.
£3 per participant, accompanying adults are FREE.

Saturday 27th October – Musical Instrument Making
Celebrating Black History Month, join in making some African and Caribbean inspired instruments, hear an interactive story and do some singing!
Saturday 24th November – Flying Machines
The Borough of Wandsworth has a rich history of flying machines. Battersea was the home of the first aeroplane factory and Wandsworth Gas Works was a popular launch point for hot air balloons during the 1880s. Visit in November to learn about this history, make your very own planes or balloons and join in a story or a song!
Saturday 1st December – Free Festive ‘Past, Present & Future’ Fun
As part of Wandsworth Town Christmas Lights Switch-On, Wandsworth Museum invites you to come along and discover some of the traditional decorations used to deck the halls of Wandsworth in centuries past. Hear how Father Christmas has evolved into the legend we know today and create a one-of-a-kind decoration from reusable and recyclable items.
Saturday 26th January – Shopping like a Victorian
This month join in at Southside Shopping Centre to become a Victorian child! Have a chance to dress up in costume, master the spinning top and Jacob's Ladder and create your own peg doll or thaumatrope to take home.
Family Fun sessions are suitable for families of all ages. £3 per participant, accompanying adults are FREE! Dec & Jan events are FREE to all!
Suitcase of Songs and Stories for Tiny Tots - activities for children aged 0-5 yrs
Led sessions every other Thursday 10am-10.30am followed by playtime!

Wandsworth Museum celebrates the story and heritage of the borough of Wandsworth, which covers Balham, Battersea, Clapham Junction, Earlsfield, Furzedown, Nine Elms, Putney, Roehampton, Southfields, Tooting & Wandsworth Town. Its current temporary exhibition is Painting Wandsworth: Watercolours 1770-1925, a fascinating showcase of over 60 historic watercolours which highlights the huge changes in the local landscape over the past 250 years.
