Learn to cook at Jamie Oliver’s new shop Recipease in Clapham Junction
The council’s food safety team is offering the prize as part of its new Healthy Lives competition, which aims to get young people thinking imaginatively about health and nutrition.
Other great prizes include iPods, cook books and the chance to have entries published in an E-cookbook, on the Wandsworth Council website and in Brightside.
Youngsters can create a tasty, quick and healthy recipe to be published in a special recipe book or design a poster promoting healthy eating for London’s 2012 Olympic athletes.
This competition is open to all pupils aged 11 to 18 who either attend a Wandsworth school or who live in the borough.
Recipes should be healthy, simple, quick and original and must include fruit and vegetables. They should have no more than 10 ingredients and should be typed on an A4 sheet of paper clearing listing the ingredients, weights/measures and the method used. Diagrams and/or photos can be added.
Posters should be in colour and should include pictures illustrating healthy eating and reflect the importance of good nutrition for 2012 athletes. They may include small amounts of text or captions and must have the title plus the name and age of entrant on the back. The maximum size is A3.
Entrants can submit either a poster, a recipe, or one of each. There are two categories: 11-14 years and 15-18 years.
Closing date for entries is July 17.
