Free workshops and events on offer
Wandsworth’s businesses are being urged to sign up for a range of free workshops and events for Wandsworth Enterprise Week.
The week, which runs from February 3rd-8th, aims to help established businesses and start-up flourish and grow, and will offer help and support to people considering setting up a business in the borough.
One of the events will be the Wandsworth Means Business exhibition aimed at supporting local small and medium-sized businesses and encouraging business-to-business activity. It will include key-note speakers, seminars, speed networking and one-to-one advice clinics. If you would like an exhibition stall at the event, sign up at www.wandsworthmeansbusiness.co.uk.
A series of free workshops will be held through the week on subjects including funding, sponsorship, marketing and social media.
Organisations that have already confirmed they will help deliver the workshops include the Princes Trust, NatWest, Business Launch Pad, Young Enterprise, New Covent Garden Market and South Thames College.
Other highlights will include the Wandsworth Business Forum, Wandsworth Young Enterprise Trade Fair and events for local food businesses, including a workshop covering sourcing, seasonality and how to buy at New Covent Garden Market and another explaining the basics of everything you need to know about setting up a food business in Wandsworth.
Women’s Enterprise Day will see successful local businesswomen coming together to share their experiences of starting their business and offering tips and techniques to female delegates.
