Teenagers' Dribbling Skills To Be Tested

As teen summer basketball competition announced

Teenagers wanting to get active over the summer holidays are being invited to put their dribbling skills to the test during a free basketball competition.

The B2B Summer Triple C – a two-a-side Basketball event for boys and girls aged 13 to 19 – takes place at Ernest Bevin College, in Beechcroft Road, Tooting, from 10am to 5pm on Saturday, July 28.

Organisers of the free-to-enter event, which is supported by Wandsworth Council, are calling on young people to enter a team (with a maximum of four per squad). Those taking part will be in the running to win prizes, trophies, medals and certificates.

B2B’s priority is to provide young people with an extra-curricular activity to keep them focused in a positive environment.

For more information and to register for the competition visit www.playb2b.net. To see a video of a previous event in neighbouring Merton go to www.bmetv.net/video/1864/b2b-basketball-half-courts-in-merton.

Activities and courses are also being held in the borough's youth clubs for young people aged 11 to 19, or up to 25 years old for young people with disabilities.

Alternatively, parents of younger children can take advantage of a variety of activities for young people that are being held this summer.

You can book now for a place on the council's Summer Fun scheme, which is being held at venues across the borough from July 23 to August 31.

The activities are for children aged 3 to 13 years and sessions are supervised by qualified and experienced staff. Activities include multisport, watersports, dance, swimming, cycling skills, football, athletics, tennis, non-contact boxing and a glee club.
