Scooter & car collide at Sutherland Grove

Traffic officers are appealing for witnesses and information following a fatal collision in Wandsworth this morning, Thursday 3 January.

Police were called at approx 11:30hrs to reports of a scooter and a car in collision at the junction of Sutherland Grove and Granville Road, SW18.

Officers and London Ambulance Service attended and the 42-year-old rider of the scooter was pronounced dead at the scene.

Whilst officers believe they know who the deceased is, they await a formal identification.

The driver of the car stopped at the scene. She was not arrested.

Officers from the Road Death Investigation Unit (RDIU) at Hampton Traffic Garage are carrying out enquiries into the circumstances of the collision.
