Relaunch for Neighbourhood Watch in the Borough
Wandsworth schemes becoming part of national network

Neighbourhood Watch in the borough of Wandsworth has been relaunched as existing groups are being incorporated into a national network.
There are already over 876 members of schemes working to boost community safety and keep neighbourhoods secure.
Wandsworth has 89 active schemes and members receive crime prevention information. Coordinators can access the online OurWatch Knowledge Hub where they can connect with fellow members, as well as get resources provided by the council’s Community Safety Team including road signs and window stickers.
Jan Forbes, the newly elected chair of Neighbourhood Watch in Wandsworth, said, "I’ve been a member of Neighbourhood Watch ever since I moved into Wandsworth many years ago. Wandsworth's recent switch to supporting NW through has really brought the organisation bang up to date.
“The newly formed Association aims to introduce many more residents to the benefits of membership and to provide support for all the volunteer coordinators out there and the ones yet to be recruited."
Cabinet member for Community Safety Graeme Henderson said, “We’re proud of our Neighbourhood Watch members and co-ordinators who share our commitment to making our neighbourhoods secure and keeping Wandsworth as inner London’s safest borough. By working together and staying vigilant we can have a real impact on crime.”
