Traffic delays this morning whilst local roads were closed.
A murder investigation has been launched following the death of a man in Wandsworth.
The victim, has been identified as 20 year old Nathan Douglas from the Camberwell area, died at the scene in Lebanon Gardens late last night. It is understood he was known to police.
Two arrests were made of men suspected of causing grievous bodily harm but these men are not being charged in connection with the murder.
The victim's next of kin have been informed. A post mortem is currently underway at St George's Hospital mortuary, Tooting. Meanwhile an incident room has opened at Sutton under Detective Inspector Russ Taylor, from the Homicide and Serious Crime Command.
DI Taylor said:
"At this early stage we believe the victim has arrived in the area of Cromford Road in a silver Renault Megane at around 11.15pm. The car then drove over to Lebanon Road where Nathan left his friends and went to meet someone. A short time later he has returned suffering from at least one stab wound and the police were called.
"We are particularly keen to hear from anyone who saw the car arrive and its subsequent movements, as well as male who was seen to run along Cromford Road shortly after the incident.
