Seen a Pothole? – Call the Council

Potholes continue to drive residents crazy

Residents can report the location of potholes to the council by  calling (020) 8871 6708 or email dtsonstreetservices@wandsworth.gov.uk - please include the nearest house number or business premises to help identify the exact location.

Latest figures show the council’s pothole repair team has filled in 2,142 holes since March 1.

The figures include hazardous potholes across the borough, plus those repaired as part of the council’s new ward-by-ward pothole repair programme. So far holes in Furzedown, St Mary’s, Latchmere and Graveney wards have been filled.

The repair team will be moving on to the Tooting, West Hill, Roehampton and Shaftesbury wards after the Easter break.

Engineers will move systematically around the borough completing the repair programme, which is likely to take several months.

Some of the repair work will consist of simply filling in a hole. However, where there are several holes close together, sections of road will be resurfaced. If a road is nearing the end of its useful life anyway, the entire surface will be replaced.

As well as working ward-by-ward, engineers will also respond to reports of hazardous potholes anywhere in the borough.

The borough’s main trunk roads (red routes) are managed and maintained by Transport for London (TfL) – these include the A3, A24, A205, A214, A306, A3205 and A3220.
