June 6-7 2009
The sixth annual Wandle Valley Festival will see a range of activities all along the river Wandle on June 6-7.
Now organisers want to hear from anyone involved in relevant arts and craft or ecological activities who would like to participate.
And they would like to speak to people who have any stories about growing up or working along the river Wandle
Events will include arts and crafts, heritage and nature discovery activities, archaeology 'digs', historical displays and talks, river clean-ups and music. There are also guided cycle rides, fun runs and other sports activities and a variety of long and short guided walks in parks or along the river. Almost all activities will be free.
If you are interested in taking part, or would like to share your stories, contact the organisers at wvf@wandle.org or on (020) 8672 2073.
