Local families have described their outrage after Conservative-run Wandsworth Council announced plans to charge children to use Battersea Park adventure playground. Many local people are asking how long before we have to pay to use all our local parks?

Local Putney campaigner for the Liberal Democrats, Lisa Smart pictured riight with a local parent, said:
“This is completely unacceptable to local people. You simply cannot put a price on childhood and childrens’ right to play.”
