Local residents invited to view
Kew Bridge Eco-Village invites all local residents to come and see for themselves what is happening on the site over the weekend of 20-21st June. They are also going to hold public meetings every Thursday at 7pm
The settlers would like to introduce themselves to the residents, to share information about sustainable living and see what the locals all think about the site. There is even suggestion of them having beehives.
They are setting up tents, both individual and communal; they have compost toilets and a shower and are starting to prepare land for cultivating vegetables.
St George's, who own the land, have not yet announced any action to be taken.
A brief tour of the site was seen on the BBC news Eco-Village on BBC news. For information, see: http://ecocamp.info or follow them on Twitter http://twitter.com/kewecovillage
