a message from the Chairman
Saturday 14th July 2007 at the Courthouse in Wandsworth, saw the launch of the Friends, a group committed to supporting our new Museum – scheduled to open in 2008.
Sheila Allen – Chairman of the Friends - lead the way as she fluently and enthusiastically outlined the future role of the Friends. She was supported by Jack Loman of MLA London, Oliver Hylton of the Hintze Foundation who have committed £2million to support the Museum, Pat Astley-Cooper the Curator and the Mayor of Wandsworth – Stuart Thom.
There was a strong presence from the Putney Society, as well as other Putney notables! With the birth of the Friends we can be confident of strong support for the Museum.
The Friends have the very best wishes of the Putney Society
John Ewing, Chairman
